Delete your Quester account
In the app (fastest)
Open Quester, go to Profile → Delete account, sign in again to confirm it’s you, then confirm. Your account is deleted right away.
Without the app
Email privacy@getquester.com from the email address you use to sign in, with the subject “Delete my account”.
If you used Apple’s “Hide My Email”, send from, or tell us, the relay address shown in your Apple ID settings under Sign in with Apple.
We may reply once to confirm the request is yours. We then delete the account and confirm by email within 30 days.
What we delete
- Your account and sign-in.
- Your trips, saved places, imports and notes.
- Your assistant chats and what Quester remembers about you.
Trips shared with other travellers stay with them. Your contributions stay with those trips, shown as “a former traveller”.
What we keep, and for how long
- Records of your purchases, with the link to you removed, for 7 years from the date of purchase, because tax and accounting law requires it.
- Reports you sent us about content, without the text you wrote.
- Basic technical records of actions in the app, with the link to you removed.
- Encrypted backups, until they expire (at most 30 days). We never use a backup to restore a deleted account.
- Server logs, which are deleted automatically after a limited period.
- App usage and crash data held by Google Firebase, which Google deletes on its own schedule; email us to have it deleted sooner.
- Install-measurement data at AppsFlyer, for up to 24 months unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
Delete some data but keep your account
In the app you can delete a trip, a chat, or any line in “What Quester remembers”. Or email privacy@getquester.com saying what you want deleted.
